Loretta is teaming with Daron Larson of Attentional Fitness Training to present this special workshop. Why is mindfulness getting so much attention these days? Probably because so many of us know we need to stay more present and aware in our lives. Just as physical exercise increases strength, flexibility, and endurance to support the regular activities of your life, mindfulness exercises develop skills of attention that nurture a deep and mature level of personal contentment.
This workshop explores practical ways to gently incorporate attentional fitness into your yoga practice and your life. Loretta will use small therapy balls and yogic techniques to help us loosen tension from the body. Daron will steer us into untangling the strands of thoughts and feeling that we so easily conflate into stress. Throughout the session, we will both offer ideas and exercises to help make developing the skills of attention part of our daily lives. We'll release tension to reveal ease of body and reveal peace of mind. Return home with a yoga therapy ball, handouts, and skills to unwind tension from body and mind.
