Fascia Release Workshop Sunday Jan 19

I am so excited to announce one of the first yoga workshop/cooking demo combos for 2014. Sunday, January 19 at 12:45PM I will be at Balanced Yoga offering "Facial Release workshop" as I share tips to release tension from the body using foam rollers, small therapy balls, and other simple props. Each participant receives two small therapy balls and tools to use them. You can then stay as I become the Duchess during The Duke of Fork's 3pm workshop "From Yoga Mat to Placemat: Cook Well, Eat Well, Be Well" featuring a live cooking demo and samples of health supportive, plant-based foods. Healthy eating and movement will definitely help with New Year's resolutions and help you to feel great all year long. Sign up for either workshop, or register for both and you receive a discount! Thank you from the Duchess

Big hearty thanks to all of you who have attended a cooking class/food demo with The Duke of Fork. We just concluded our fourth cooking demo in five days! What a fun week we've had sharing the goodness of plant-based cuisine.
Thanks for joining us at Stratford Ecological Center on Saturday for a special class dedicated to fresh foods for Thanksgiving. It was extra special to prepare a butternut squash soup prepered with a squash grown onsite.

Chef Mark cuts the home grown butternut squash

Monday's sold out cooking demo at Powell Village Winery  was a fun way to learn tips on Healthy Holiday Favorites. We savored a few samples as we enjoyed two glasses of wine from the winery's great selection.

The great crowded Powell Village Winery. It's always fun and sometimes rowdy here!

Loretta demonstrates the delicious raw cacao dessert at Wyandotte Winery

At Ohio Wesleyan University, Chef Mark's delicious skillet meal was shown on the big screen for a whole crowd to view! After the cooking class about 80 members and guests of the PHAT, Peer Health Advocacy Team ate a meal prepared by Chartwells using chef Mark's recipes.

Fall news

Thank you to all who invited me to share yoga at summer events and camps.
From Girl Scout troops to college family weekends, yoga was enjoyed
by many people who invited me to share playful yoga classes with
people of all ages. I love teaching yoga to groups like this. I was
honored to teach yoga to three different week long camper groups
at OWjL Camp. These middle school age people  are curious,
active and animated. Thanks for joining me at :
outdoor yoga classes at Mockingbird Meadows . The "Girls Day out" events are always
restorative.  It was also my joy to teach two private groups; one book club and a wedding
shower under the pear tree of this beautiful honey and herb farm.

Indoor classes continue throughout the city. Join me at Balanced Yoga  each Monday at
noon. Drop in any week or get a pass. I'm marking a  decade of work at Ohio Wesleyan University.
You are welcome to join the noon FIT OWU class. Classes are ongoing on Monday and Thursday
evenings at Dublin Recreation Center each week and with private classes.  Details at http://lorettayoga.com/schedule.htm
This January offering foam roller and small therapy ball workshops at Balanced Yoga and Nurture Yoga.

I am buoyed by my recent workshop with Erich Schiffmann. I've taken his long weekend workshop
bi-annually for eight years now. I am also very inspired by my travels with Mark and the incredible
locations I've been fortunate enough to practice yoga. This past May we spent nearly three weeks
traversing the country, some of it along the old Route 66 route. Arches and Canyonlands National
Parks are solid proof that we are lucky being on an incredible planet. Thank you for making my life
richer. If that sounds too corny and sentimental, please color it with language that resonates with
you. So happy we are part of one big cool team!
Thank you.

Namaste.

Assisting The Duke of Fork

Recently I've been assisting my husband, The Duke of Fork. While I assist him I am known as the Duchess of Fork. I have come to love this moniker. On the day this photo was taken I assisted The Duke at a Nationwide Insurance work group meeting at Highbanks Metropark. We've met so many great people while working together. Big thanks to all who have joined us in spreading the joy of plant-based cuisine!

Tension Relese Body Alignment workshop

Join Loretta Zedella for this two hour class Sunday Feb 3 2013 at Nurture Yoga.
Have you ever felt that tightness in hamstrings, shoulders, or IT Band is prohibiting your enjoyment of certain movements on or off of the mat? We'll explore these issues and more as we use foam rollers, tennis balls, bolsters, belts and blankets to release tension from the body.

How might our habits of standing, sitting, and bending lead to this tension in our body? Let’s examine many of the common alignment issues we experience. We’ll explore how sitting in front of computers, in dining chairs, and in the car can cause hips, shoulders, and neck to misalign. Once the bones line up, the muscles tendons and joints as well as vital organs can also realign for optimal efficiency. Once they align, so can our energetic system. We’ll establish our range of motion and what we can do to enhance that.

Return home with handouts and skills to practice these simple and specific realigning techniques that can lead to more ease, a higher sense of well being, and more restful sleep.

Workshops will take place on Sunday afternoon, Feb 3 from 1 to 3 pm. Preregistration and prepayment required. Cost is $30 before Feb 1 & $35 after. Please register online www.nurture-yoga.com or email me at YogawithLoretta(at symbol)hotmail.com. Thank you
