It was my honor to deliver the checks to our three charities who benefited from Yoga Outreach Columbus spring event. If you were a part of Yoga Outreach, you helped make these donations possible. Please let me know if you'd like to accompany me as I share these checks again next year.
Yoga Outreach Columbus is very happy to provide assistance to People In Need, Inc. of Delaware County. "Loretta Zedella, founder of Yoga Outreach Columbus, delivers a check to Lula Mae Downerd, Food Pantry Manager at People In Need, Inc. of Delaware County Ohio. This donation will allow PIN to purchase over $2,000 worth of food through the Mid-Ohio Food Bank. It was made possible through the generous support of yoga practitioners who attended Yoga Outreach Columbus event at Ohio Wesleyan University this spring. Thanks to all of the generous Central Ohio yoga volunteers who made made this donation possible."
Representing Yoga Outreach volunteers, I delivered a donation to Andy Murphy of Mid-Ohio Foodbank.
Did you know that the demand for food has climbed forty-six percent over the past five years--reflecting the effects of high unemployment? Each of us who gathered to practice yoga on April 1 helped others right here in our community.
Finally our international bhnefactor: Yoga Outreach Columbus is happy to provide over $1000 assistance to Off the Mat, Into the World™ through Global Wristband Project. Thus far in 2012, GWP has raised more than $30,000 to help victims of human traffiking and to help prevent traffiking, particualrly in India.
